Privacy Policy
The short version
The Wirewalker does not ask you to create an account, does not collect your name or email, does not use advertising, and does not track you across other apps or websites. The game reads a few sensors on your phone — screen brightness, charging state, headphones and volume — but only to react to them during gameplay, on your device, in the moment. None of that is sent anywhere or stored beyond your current session.
What we do not collect
- No account, no sign-up, no email address, no name.
- No advertising identifiers, no third-party advertising or analytics SDKs.
- No location data.
- No contacts, photos, or files on your device.
Device sensors
Starting at a certain point in the game, some levels ask you to do something with your real phone: dim the screen, plug in a charger, put on headphones, lower the volume. To react to that, the game reads the following, entirely on your device.
| What is read | Used for |
|---|---|
| Screen brightness | One level responds to a dimmer screen |
| Charging state and Low Power Mode | One level responds to whether the phone is charging |
| Headphones connected | One level changes audio when headphones are on |
| System volume | One level responds to the volume level |
None of these values ever leave your device. They are read in real time to change what you see and hear in that moment, and are not stored, logged, or transmitted anywhere — not to us, not to any third party.
The game never requests access to your camera, microphone, photos, contacts, or location.
Purchases
The Wirewalker offers one optional in-app purchase to unlock the full game after the first three levels. Purchases are handled entirely by Apple's (App Store) or Google's (Play Store) payment systems. We do not see, collect, or store your payment details. We only receive confirmation of whether you own the unlock, which is used to keep the game unlocked on your device.
The Walker List
If you finish a level fast enough to place in that level's top ten times, you can enter a three-letter name to appear on a public, worldwide leaderboard for that level. This is the only thing in the game that can be seen by other players.
- No account or sign-in is required or possible.
- We store only the three letters you choose, your time, and which level it was for.
- We do not store your name, email, device identifier, IP address, or location alongside that entry.
- Leaderboard names are filtered for offensive content at the point of entry. Entries found to violate this after the fact have their displayed name hidden; the time result itself is not deleted.
Children
The Wirewalker is not directed at children and is rated for an older audience because of its horror content. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will update the date above and, where required by the app stores, note it in the app's update notes.
